What is Helicopter Trekking?
One of the greatest and most convenient ways to do the most difficult treks in Nepal, such as the Everest Base Camp Trek, in less days without compromising comfort, is by helicopter. Experience the Himalayas like never before with Helicopter Trekking, where you can see the world’s most powerful mountains from an aerial perspective. This trekking is especially designed for those who love the outdoors and adventure from all over the world and would like to travel to the Himalayas in comfort and luxury.
Helicopter hiking in Nepal travels along the same path as traditional trekking routes. You will hike through some of the most beautiful Himalayan scenery while on the trip, taking in breath-blowing views of the surrounding mountains. The main attractions of Helicopter Trekking include also the people, culture, cuisine, and customs. And after reaching the summit of your hikes, you’ll get to take an amazing helicopter ride between Nepal’s mountains to return to Kathmandu.

In our EBC/Gokyo Lake Heli Trek Package, we combine the EBC Trek and the Gokyo Valley Trek, which takes us to the tranquil Gokyo Valley and the base of Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. Following your arrival at Gokyo Rii, you will experience an amazing once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride back from the top of the world’s highest peaks.
The Gokyo Lake Trek, which takes hikers to the glacial lake’s birthplace in the Gokyo Valley, is one of the most well-liked hiking routes in Nepal. The Gokyo Lake Trek starts in Lukla, which is thirty minutes away from the Kathmandu Valley via plane. It is located in Nepal’s Everest region inside the Sagarmatha National Park. Completing this 92-kilometer ascent typically takes about 12 days. The biggest peak on this trekking path, Gokyo Ri, climbs to 5,357 meters and affords breathtaking views of Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and Everest.
Trekkers reach the base of Mount Everest, the tallest mountain in the world, during the exhilarating Everest Base Camp (EBC) climb. An exciting flight to Tenzing-Hillary airport, one of the riskiest and highest-altitude airports in the world, precedes the exciting EBC trek adventure in the Lukla settlement in Nepal’s Khumbu district. During the 35-minute flight, take in breathtaking views of the surrounding alpine terrain. One of the more difficult treks is the 130-mile EBC expedition, which can take 10 to 15 days to complete depending on the route and level of physical ability. And finally, the trek ends with a spectacular Heli ride back to the capital city of Nepal. March through May or mid-September through November are the ideal times of year to visit the EBC Trek.
Along the trail, trekkers can stay in comfortable tea houses and lodges where they can interact with friendly Sherpas and people from various ethnic backgrounds while also enjoying Nepali cuisine like dal bhat tarkari. The optimum trekking seasons for the EBC/Gokyo Lake Heli Trek are in the spring, from March to May, and in the fall, from September to November. One of the highlights of the walk is Nozumpa Glacier, the largest glacier in the Himalayas. An alternative to the equally challenging EBC trek is the Gokyo Lake trek, which begins at Everest Base Camp.
