From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu till the moment we left they were very helpful. Our guide Sonam Gurang and porter KB, were awesome!! They were always able to explain local cultures and answer any question we had. I didn’t expect their English to be as good as it was, which made the trek so much easier. They always guided us to our required speed and capacity, which was a great plus on the steep climbs we were faced with. The company owner Babu was also very helpful and accommodating, and was 100% contactable at all times which was amazing when booking the trek from the other side of the world. Use this trekking company! They are very professional and will help you out in any way they can. With their guides and porters experience we were able to immerse ourselves in local culture along the way, which added to a wonderful experience. The guide especially, Raaj, was very kind, polite, caring and mindful. He provided us with good advise looking after our safety all the time. We were happy with the quality of our accommodation and freshly cooked food (three times a day, including fresh fruit). Everything went according to the plan and that was really good. We felt safe all the time and enjoyed his company. But the reality of the beautiful track in Himalaya was absolutely stunning. Words are not enough to express the beauty of what we have seen. No camera or cam-cord is accurate enough to reproduce what can be seen with the naked eye. I dare say that if one hasn't seen the Himalayas they have not seen real mountains. Besides this, Unique path had kindly obliged us with customizing the trip to fit our requirements of days and places to be covered to the best possible. We were met by able representatives and aided to a successful start to the adventure, which I'm sure all of us were apprehensive of, in one way or another, even though we had experienced earlier treks. All arrangements of stays in the Tea lodges were done perfectly, and the food offered ,albeit basic, but was adequately hearty and palatable. The trekking was an experience of sorts, ...a combination of anxiety, fatigue, anticipation....but the feeling of exhilaration at the beginning and end of each day remained with us. The variation of terrain from walking in completely sheathed undergrowth to enjoying brilliant skies, had us reveling in each element of the surrounding landscape. The grandeur of the mountains seemed to humble all ego, anger and any meager human emotions one felt. We were very happy with the crew deputed to assist us, from the helpers who carried our luggage with amazing ease, to the main aides, who were very considerate and supportive to our every need. Most importantly, they were extremely helpful in organizing a prompt solution for evacuating part of our group who experienced some difficulty in completing the trek, without upsetting the schedule of the rest of the group. Our third trek with unique path and this time off to the Everest region 2013-4. Trek 1 – the A Our third trek with unique path and this time off to the Everest region 2013-4. Trek 1 - the Annapurna circuit 2008. Trek 2 - Langtang Valley and Gosainkund Pass 2011. We arrived into Kathmandu 23 December as arranged excited about flying over to Lukla and hiking in the Everest region. We spent 24 December waiting for our flight to Lukla - delayed then cancelled. They rebooked us into the same lovely hotel for a second night. 25 December we tried again to fly to lukla. Unfortunately again delayed due to high wind, then finally cancelled. Do we try again tomorrow 26 dec?? Some Trekkers had been waiting for five days, do we?? Our guide Raj suggested it would be wise to do an alternative trek. So it was decided to do Poon Hill and ABC (Annapurna base camp). Flights to pokhara were also cancelled due to fog there. So, 6 hours later still Christmas Day we arrived by private car to Pokhara and spent the night in a hotel near the lake. On 26 December we set off for the 10 day circuit. Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!. Back to Pokhara and to the same charming garden hotel. The next day we flew back to Kathmandu, and back to our hotel where we spent the first two nights. Unique path re organized everything!! There was absolutely no stress or worries. Our set itinerary included only two nights hotel accommodation and return flights to Lukla, plus all the guest houses, guide, porter etc. We spent an extra three nights in hotels, had a private car, and managed to get one flight. Would you believe on our departure to Australia we were given a refund for the airfare that was cancelled. We did not expect this, as we received all the other extras. This shows that this company can be trusted. They are flexible, and they know how to treat their customers. This is a company that I can certainly recommend. We will be coming back for our fourth trip, because we still have the Everest region to explore!! Read more... Read less
