The Tamor and the Arun join the Sun Koshi at Triveni Ghat to form the giant Saptakoshi. Spatakoshi flows through Mahabharat Range onto the Gangetic plain. Tamur is the sixth-largest river in Nepal. The rafting at Tamor starts from an early drive from Kathmandu to Basantapur via Dharan. From Basantapur, start trekking for about 5 hours to Mangalbare. Our airport representative will pick you up from the airport terminal and transfer you to a hotel in Kathmandu. Besides, you can spend your remaining time exploring around Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Early morning after breakfast drive from Kathmandu to Dharan. It takes about 7 hours to drive from Kathmandu to Dharan. Then from Dharan drive to Basantapur. It takes another 1 and half hours to drive. Overnight at Basantapur.
Early morning after breakfast, start trekking from Basantapur to Mangalbare. It takes about 5 hours to walk from Basantapur to reach Mangalbare. Overnight at camp in Mangalbare.
Early morning after breakfast, start your trek for about 5 hours from Mangalore to Guphapokhari. Furthermore, enjoy the scenario that comes along the way. Also, spend some time exploring Guphapokhari and set the camp overnight.
Again, wake up early and have some breakfast. Gather the energy to trek for 5 hours today from Guphapokhari to Gorjha. Similarly, upon reaching Gorja, enjoy the natural scenario and explore sometime over there. Overnight at camp in Gorja.
Today the walk will be a little shorter than the rest of the day. You will be walking for only 3 hours today. From Gorjha, you will trek to Dobhan. Similarly, at Dobhan, you can enjoy the natural scenario along with the lifestyle of the people. Finally, set camp for an overnight stay
Finally, on day 7, you will enter the Tamur river for rafting. Before rafting our guide will give you a short briefing and safety measures to follow during rafting. Then start rafting and run classes at 4/5 rapids. Then, camp at Kabali Dobhan.
From kabelidoban, we will raft for some hours and reach Koya. Then, we will camp at the river bank near Koya.
The rapids today will be less than any other day. You will be rafting through the calm section to witness the beauty of the natural scenario that Nepal has to offer. Thus, you may encounter several species of birds and animals on the way from the river. Set a camp at Dumre.
Today you will be rafting the continuous whitewater rapids of the Tamor River. Then, camp near Triveni Ghat.
Today you will raft for about 3 hours and finish at Chatara. Then, from chatura drive back to Kathmandu.
Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
