What is Budget Trekking?
Budget trekking is the best option for travelers who want to experience the Himalayas with a limited budget. For all the trekking enthusiasts in the world, we invite you to visit Nepal and explore this Himalayan region with comfort and a reasonable price.
Your essentials for hiking in the Himalayas will be covered by our budget packages. To ensure that your walk is comfortable, we supply you with obliging and amusing porters (English speaking) who will carry up to 12kgs of weight. As porters are experienced trekkers, they will also be help you with your needs during the trek. Included in the budget trek cost are additional services like ground transportation to and from the starting and finishing points of the trek, cozy and warm lodges during the trek, and permits required to trek in Nepal’s various trekking regions.
It should be noted that hiring a guide will come at an additional expense, raising the overall cost of the trek. However, if you feel the need, we can also provide excellent guides for you. And lastly, we request our travelers to carry the basic necessities such as trekking gears, warm clothes, hot water bottles, sunglasses, trekking poles etc. with themselves as it will not be provided by the company.
Also referred to as ABC trek, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an iconic trekking trial in Nepal, renowned for its breathtaking beauty and mountainous landscapes. The adventurous journey of ABC Budget trek starts from the beautiful village of Ghaundrung Phedi, accessible either by a flight from Kathmandu along with a two-hour drive or an eight-hour long drive from Kathmandu to Phedi. This trek typically takes around 5-7 days, covering a distance of 30-40 kilometers (approx), based on the route chosen. The best seasons to visit ABC trek are either during spring (March to May) when rhododendrons bloom or during autumn (late September to early December) with clear skies and pleasant temperature. The temperature on the trek usually decreases up to 17-20 degree Celsius. However, the weather remains unpredictable because of the increasing altitude.
The average height of the trial peaks upto 4130 meters, providing an opportunity for the trekkers to trek through the beautiful sceneries of Jhinu Dada, Sinwa, Deurali, Annapurna Base Camp and rejuvenate and cleanse themselves in a natural hot spring in Jhinu Dada and Tatopani. Accommodation during this trek typically include tea houses and lodges where the trekkers can peek into the typical Gurung and Magar culture of Nepali villages and connect with fellow travelers on the way. ABC trek is considered as a moderately difficult trek, offering the trekkers with a beautiful scenery of towering peaks of Annapurna I, Machapuchre, and Hinchuli and cultural richness.
Drive to Ghaundrung Phedi by local Jeep or Bus and trek to Jhinu danda (natural hot spring). 1625m/5330ft. Driving 3:30 hours and walking 3 hours,
Jhinu danda to Sinuwa (2310m/7576ft). Walking 6 hours.
Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10332ft). Walking 6 hours
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp 4090m/13415ft. walking 4:30 hours.
Annapurna base camp to Bamboo (2210m/7250ft) Walking 6:30 hours.
Bamboo to Pokhara. Trek to Ghaundrung Phedi then drive by local Jeep or bus to Pokhara (900m/2952ft). Walking 5 hours & Driving 3:30 hours.
After your delicious morning breakfast, you will be picked up by our amusing driver. Travelling through breathtaking terrains and exceptional mountain views, you will reach Phedi, located around 3 hours’ drive from Pokhara. From Ghaundrung Phedi, our trek officially begins.
After 3 hours of walking from Phedi, we reach Jhinu Danda located at 1625m/5330 ft from the sea level. Jhinu Dada is a well-known destination for its natural hot spring. And if the weather and time favors us, we can get a dip before making a stop for the day.
Overnight at Jhinu Dada.
Early morning after taking on views of breathtaking mountains, we ascend towards Sinuwa village. Today’s trek will last for 6 hours, where we pass through dense forests, hills, creeks and crooks which will give you an immense sense of calmness. Finally, we reach Sinwa located at the altitude of 2,310 meters/7576 ft. After filling our belly with local Nepali food (Dal, Bhat) we finally take a good night’s rest.
Continuing our ascend to the iconic Annapurna Base Camp, today after early breakfast we head towards Deurali. Located at 3150 meters, the views from Deurali will certainly blow your mind away adding excitement to what’s coming tomorrow. Today’s walking like yesterday will also last for around 6 hours, where we slow our pace and walk comfortably.
Finally, today is your D-Day. All the hardships and struggles that you’ve faced up to now will all be worth it as you reach the base of the iconic Annapurna Base Camp. As we’ll be gaining very high altitude from Deurali we go at a very slow pace enjoying the astounding panoramic views of the mountains.
Finally, upon reaching Annapurna Base Camp, we can check in to the hotel and after getting our belly full of local food, check out the breathtaking views of surrounding mountains from the Annapurna Base Camp. You can take your time taking pictures as we stay for the night at a local lodge at Annapurna Base Camp.
Finally, our trek will get easier as we say goodbye to the Annapurna Base Camp and descend towards Bamboo. Lasting approx. 6-7 hours, we cover breathtaking landscapes passing through different hills and forests. You might also get an opportunity to observe the national flower of Nepal, Rhododendron, if weather and climate fits the schedule.
Finally, we stay at a local lodge at Bamboo, singing and having fun with the fellow travelers.
Today marks the conclusion of the trek as we say goodbye to Bamboo and get to Ghaundrung Phedi. The trekking last of around 5 hours as we descend to the altitude of 900 meters. Enjoy the trek while it lasts, as you will be back to the modernization of this world very soon.
After reaching Phedi, our driver will be waiting who will drive you to your drop off point at Pokhara. The drive will last for around 3-4 hours, where you can rest and enjoy the amazing views of Nepalese terrain. Finally, we bid you farewell and hope you had an amazing time.
