Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking leads you at scenic and fascinating destinations taking a short drive from beautiful Pokhara heading North through farm fields and terraces exploring nice Gurung traditional villages.

As the walk progress leaving behind human settlement and villages to enter into enchanting alpine forested areas of dense rhododendron-pines-oaks and fir tree lines which soon disappears as the journey leads into complete wilderness away from main trekking trails into remote and isolated picturesque at Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking.

After a wonderful time on high hills of Annapurna Himalaya, with incredible views of snowcapped peaks and stunning landscapes our journey leads back to Pokhara with mesmerizing experience of an amazing adventure on Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking.

  • Day 01: AArrival in Kathmandu from respective airlines and transfer to hotels.
  • Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing tour at places of interest. [B L D Plan].
  • Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 950m -06 hrs journey (options by air 30 mins) [B L D Plan].
  • Day 04: Drive to Mardipul and trek to Riban 1,675m - 05 hrs. [B L D Plan].
  • Day 05: Trek to Odane Hill 2,513 m via Lalka 2,250 m - 06 hrs. [B L D Plan].
  • Day 06: Trek to Khumai Danda 3,245 m - 05 hrs. [B L D Plan].
  • Day 07: Trek to Khorchon 3,682 m - 04 hrs. [B L D Plan].

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels. On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, where our guide and office staff will receive you with warm welcome and then transfer to your hotels in the heart of Kathmandu city around Thamel areas, the tourist hub of Nepal.At Thamel you can find all your needs and requirements for the trek with excellent international standard hotels and restaurants with many shops and stores.After getting refresh meet our guide with other members of Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking, and then our guide will provide information and briefing regarding the trek, hotels and much more with evening welcome dinner in an authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural programs.
  • Day 02: In Kathmandu with tour and trek preparations. We have allowed a free day in Kathmandu, where you can enjoy sightseeing tour around places of interest as Kathmandu valley steep with historical and famous world heritage sites Pashupatinath a Hindu Temple, Bouddhanath (Little Tibet) visit the huge Buddhist Stupa, (tour might include either Kathmandu old Durbar Square and Swayambhunath Stupa located on a hill lock as set on the program and time permitting) Afternoon free for individual activities and trek preparations.
  • Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 950m. Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking starts with an exciting and scenic overland drive to famous and popular touristic spot at Pokhara, journey leads on Nepal's leading and busy highway following Trisuli River for sometimes and then heading due west to reach warmer sub-tropical valley in beautiful Pokhara by the Phewa Lake, where most of the excellent hotels, shops and restaurants located.
  • Day 04: Drive to Mardipul and trek to Ribhan 1,675m - 05 hrs. After a nice and pleasant overnight in Pokhara, morning a short drive leads you on the outskirt of Pokhara valley at Mardipul near its river Mardi and the village with same name, from here walking by the river bank with views of Annapurna Himalaya and beautiful Mt. Machhapuchare “ Fish Tail,” and then a short climb up to cooler areas at Lahachowk village on route Pati Khola to reach our first overnight camp at Ribhan village with stunning views of Annapurna Himalaya with other range of peaks.
  • Day 05: Trek to Odane Hill 2,513 m via Lalka 2,250 m - 06 hrs. Starting our morning walk with a steep climbs from Rhiban village leading past Lalka at 2,250 m high, as the air gets cooler with a resting place where path divides to Ghachowk via Hile Kharka,from here walk past some cattle sheds, and then onwards with steep climb through bamboo and rhododendron forest leading to a massive slab of rock, the trekking on this route offers awesome panorama of mountains and green valley landscape.As the walk progress entering a small clearing at Lalghar kharka, and continues along a faint trail to another clearing which marks a high point on the ridge of Odane Hill within dense rhododendron forest, overnight camp site will be on the ridge overlooking glamorous views of Annapurna massif with majestic Machhapuchare Himal where the two summits looks as Fish Tail, which is the name of the mountain.
  • Day 06: Trek to Khumai Danda 3,245 m - 05 hrs. From here walk continues along a ridgeline to camp at Kumai a small temporary Sheppard’s shelter, a complete wilderness with amazing views on both side of the ridge looking at east and western side of the ridge line as the walk progress with more climbs reaching into alpine cooler region at Khumai Danda after a great scenic walk of the day.
  • Day 07: Trek to Khorchon 3,682 m - 04 hrs. After Khumai Danda with hard walk on reaching higher ridgeline where view gets better along with cool mountain air and magnificent panorama three world's highest mountains of Annapurna range with distant Mt. Dhaulagiri towards west and Manaslu in the eastern horizon. The path climbs steeply along the ridgeline to reach a grazing pasture land at Khorchon a temporary cattle herders’ summer shelter where our overnight camp is set with excellent views.
  • Day 08: Trek to Premro Shyo Camp 3,720 m - 04 hrs. From this camp where two routes separates the North West leads at Mardi Himal base camp and the later east path leads to our destinations towards Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp with overnight stop at a small field called Premro Shyo Camp at 3,720 m high.Walk leads higher up where tree lines disappears for smaller bushes of juniper and rhododendron or azalea with other prickly alpine shrubs, as the scenic path continues with ever present views of dramatic landscapes till our camp is reached at Premro Shyo, this will be the highest overnight camp for two nights.
  • Day 09: Free day at Premro Shyo Camp hike to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3, 977 m. Today a free day for hike to our main destinations and highlight of the adventure leading to a height of above 3,977 meter high with breathtaking views of surrounding magnificent landscapes of rolling high green hills with river gorge and valley and of Annapurna Himalaya with majestic Machhapuchare.Walking with care on narrow path with short descend and then steep up to reach at Machhapuchare Himal base camp where the Fish Tail Peak towers high at 6,997 m, one of the virgin and unclimbed mountains in all Himalaya and on this globe.The mountain not a holy peak but well respected and privileged which dominates the Pokhara valley and its surrounding hills, a magnificent to look at where its twin summits shaped as Fish Tail, and the name itself means the one with Fish Tail.After a wonderful moment at Machhapuchare base camp heading back to camp at Premro Shyo.
  • Day 10: Trek to Pipar Kharka 3,310 m - 05 hrs. Today our return journey leads on the same trail for few hours and then splitting from the point where Machhapuchare base camp and route to Ghachowk village meets, and then on downhill with few ups back into forested areas on reaching at Pipar Kharka for overnight camp.A small summer pasture fields, the area unknown to many trekkers a complete wilderness with grand views of peaks.
  • Day 11: Trek to Karuwa 1,320 m - 06 hrs. After being in serene natural surrounding away from human habitations and villages today, walk leads back into farm fields and rice terraces heading towards warmer areas as the walk leads on downhill path loosing much altitude entering warmer areas at Karuwa for overnight stop near a small farm village.
  • Day 12: Trek to Ghachowk 1,260 m via Dhiprang 1,440 m - 06 hrs. Morning catching beautiful views of green rolling hills and valleys with Machhapuchare Himal and then walk descends towards more farm fields and into mixed forested areas of rhododendron-pines-oaks and bamboos and then reaching a nice farm village at Dhiprang a junction where the route leads towards Mardi and Machhapuchare Himal base camp.From here after short climb at Dhiprang heading downhill towards a large Gurung village at Ghachowk for overnight stop, lovely traditional farm villages where you have time to explore interesting Gurung tribe villages of rich culture interwoven with Buddhism teaching.
  • Day 13: Trek to Mardipul 1,050 m and drive to Pokhara - 04 hrs. From here our last day walk of the adventure leads downhill through farm areas with rows of terraces after a long descend reaching at Mardi River valley, from here walk is pleasant on the level track following the river all the way to Mardipul, a farm village near Pokhara on a road head of Beni and Pokhara.After a wonderful time high on the hills in absolute wilderness, a short drive to reach at Pokhara by the lake Phewa, overnight on the lake side after checking into respective hotels with rest of the afternoon free for own individual activities time permitting for interested people can do an hour hike to Peace Stupa high on the ridge after crossing the lake on boat, or book for Paragliding or just relax and catch up with the dairy.
  • Day 14: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Depart from Pokhara to reach Kathmandu taking an interesting drive on exciting highway past rural farm villages and towns and the climbing up to reach the entry point to Kathmandu city at Nag Dhunga.From this point an hour ride brings you back to your hotels with afternoon free for shopping spree includes farewell dinner.
  • Day 15: International departure to respective countries. Last day in Nepal with amazing Himalayan experience, as time for your international flight our staff transfers you back at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International airport for your homeward bound flight or to respective countries, after a memorable time and experience around Nepal Himalaya and Machhapuchare Himal Base Camp Trekking.
