OVERVIEW

Yala is a “trekking peak” in the Langtang Region of Nepal. It is classed as Grade F (facile/easy) on the Alpine Grading system although this can vary by a point or so depending on the snow conditions. In 2003 I would have definitely rated the peak as PD. The peak is seldom climbed in it’s own right, often being used as a warm-up for Naya Kanga on the opposite side of the valley. The summit gives surprisingly good views of Shishapangma if you are lucky enough with the weather. (We weren’t!) This is an excellent peak as a first – in the Himalayas. The route involves a base camp at the end of the trail and a high camp...

We really enjoyed the Annapurna Mountains and its many surprises. The mountains are definitely one of the most beautiful sights and scenes that we have experienced! We have been to so many places and climbed many mountains, but the Annapurna Area is just beautiful! We could say, we got more than we asked for! We also admire the friendliness of the locals, their spicy cuisine, their colorful culture and their warm hospitality. The trails and the weather was also a source of many great delights! Imagine to have bright sunshine in the morning, then rain and as the day progressed we experienced snow and even hail! We never had that experienced in one day – ever! Thanks to you and to your company for arranging such a superb week for all of us. We really appreciate your professionalism and your personal dedication in making our trip a most enjoyable and memorable one! We will always remember you and your team. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mountains!

had the privilege of using Unique Path trekking to fulfil a life long dream of seeing Mt Everest. We did the Everest Panorama trek, which involved an 8 day round trip from Lukla to Pangboche. Our guide Ram was very experienced and knowledgeable about the area and culture and was very flexible in meeting all of our needs. Our itinerary was modified as we went along so that we could fit more into our 8 days. It was the best experience of our lives and booking over the Internet was easy and without any hassles. The attention and service from all the staff at Unique Path, from the moment we arrived in Kathmandu to the moment we left, was excellent. We sincerely thank Babu and his team for making our trip so enjoyable and hope to come back soon to experience more of this magnificent region.
