We will eventually arrive in the little settlement of Thulo Bharkhu, which marks the beginning of the trekking route. From there, our trail slowly ascends through a grove of oaks and pines in the direction of Barbal. We continue our hike along an uncomplicated, sloping trail that skirts a forest and offers views of the lovely Langtang valley and Ganesh Himal. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 10-31 Climbing Langtang Lirung [7234m/23727ft] and back to Base Camp 22 days climbing toward Mt. Langtang Lirung Tented Camp

For the best acclimatization, we will hike between the camps for many days while engaging in climbing training exercises. Our Sherpa team will carry out all the labor-intensive tasks, including building up new camps at higher elevations, preparing wholesome, sanitary meals, and identifying suitable and secure climbing routes. We will follow the instructions and lead of our experienced climbing specialists once we are fully acclimatized and properly prepared with all the climbing gear. We move towards Langtang Lirung’s top after overcoming several challenging climbing sections and taking the weather into account. We are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Langtang Himalayan Ranges, Pemthang Karpo, Gangchenpo, and Shishapangma, which rise across the border of Tibet, as well as other nearby high peaks as we reach the summit.

Day 32 Trek from Base Camp to Lama Hotel 5-6 hrs Trek Tented Camp

After achieving our goal of reaching Langtang Lirung’s top, we will make a leisurely start and get ready for our return trip. From there, a short hike will take us back to the Lama Hotel, where we will spend the night. Meals: Every Meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 33 Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi 5-6 hrs Trek Lodge

Frequently Asked Questions

It doesn’t get much harder than Langtang Lirung. There are difficulties because of the geography and the mountain’s enormous height. One of the challenges that climbers must overcome in order to reach the summit of this peak is its broad south side.

For this journey, one must be both psychologically and physically prepared. Only 14 attempts have been undertaken thus far because of the significant obstacles in the way. Only one of those has proven successful. Although the ascent is as exciting and daring as it can be, the challenges are far greater.

One must be well-prepared and supervised and possess excellent technical climbing abilities. Before embarking on a journey, climbers must also have prior climbing experience.

Mount Langtang Lirung is one of the hardest climbing mountains in Nepal. For this trip, one needs to be completely psychologically and physically prepared. Before joining this expedition, they also need to have past experience and keen technical climbing skills. The climbers scale the mountain in the spring because of these already present difficulties. The weather is generally less difficult in the spring. It makes the journey a little bit easier.

Even more difficult than climbing other mountains is climbing Langtang Lirung. To successfully complete the ascent, experienced planning and direction are required. Only one effort has been successful thus far out of fourteen attempts.

The climbers must navigate a difficult path. Before enrolling in this trip, they must be both psychologically and physically prepared. The climbers have an additional hurdle due to the mountain’s broad southern face. Both technical climbing proficiency and prior mountaineering experience are prerequisites for the climbers.

An exciting, daring, and rejuvenating exercise may be climbing Langtang Lirung. However, it is also dangerous due to its enormous height. Therefore, rushing might not be the best course of action for your safety. Climbing Langtang Lirung is an endeavor that lasts about 34 days. It takes roughly ten days to get to the base camp throughout these 34 days.

The words “Lang” Yak and “Teng,” which translate to “to follow,” are the origin of the name Langtang in Tibetan. However, in the higher valley of Langtang, trekkers may come across yaks. North of Kathmandu lies the small, wedged valley of Langtang.

Just north of Kathmandu, close to the Tibetan border, the Langtang Valley begins. The highest hill nearby, Langtang Lirung (7246m), dominates the valley. This is an excellent way to get started trekking in Nepal while taking in some of the most breathtaking landscapes the nation has to offer.

Numerous ungulate species, including musk deer and Himalayan tahr, have summer homes in Langtang’s vast high meadows. Red pandas, Himalayan black bears, snow leopards, wild dogs, ghoral, serow, and more than 250 different bird species can all be found in the park.

Traveling to any National Park you will need a certain permit. Similarly, for traveling to Lantang National Park one would need permits such as a TIMS card and Langtang National Park Entry Permit

Juniper and rhododendron shrubs eventually give way to vast grassland meadows. Numerous creatures can find shelter in the abundant greenery, which covers everything from hills to plains. Red panda, snow leopard, serow, wild dog, ghoral, and Himalayan black bear frequently frequent the area, whereas uniped species like the Himalayan Tahr and musk deer are mostly found there etc are found in the Langtang Region of Nepal.

I have used Unique Path three times and each time the team were all helpful, friendly and informative. Every aspect of our trip to Nepal was taken care of - Pick up at the airport to take us to our hotel. Next day the excitement of getting our trekking details and depending on the trip setting out with our guide and porter. My husband and I prefer to hike on our own, so we did no group options. Our itinerary was always followed exactly. When I go hiking in Nepal this company is my first point of contact. They are a great team and are totally recommended by me and my husband.

As with all treks, there will be unforeseen circumstances and you’re always beholden to nature. So you want a guide and an agency that is not only experienced enough but also sensitive and quick to changes on ground. I am very grateful for the deep experience that our guide, Dambar had. He made us feel safe and constantly had everything under control despite the weather and some early sickness some of us had. Coupled with his sharp wit and deep knowledge, this became such an enjoyable climb that was filled with priceless stories that I can’t wait to tell the kids about. The porters too were a lively bunch that ultimately became friends and we shared lots of fun moments on the mountain together. Babu ensured that our arrivals, arrangements and any administrative hassles were smooth and out of our minds so we could focus on the climb ahead. Thank you Unique Path trekking & expedition. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a great time while knowing you’re in safe hands!

We were very fortunate to have Unique Path Trekking for our EBC with 3 Himalaya passes expedition, we were so happy/satisfied with Unique Path trekking. Babu ( owner of Unique Path Trekking) is so kind, knowledgeable and mellow personality so does their staff ( all guides and porters ). We had great time during this expedition in terms of lodging/food. We had large group ( ~ 18 ppl ) and believe or not no one had any single complain of food. Their guides and porters are so knowledgeable, smart, humorous made our entire expedition lots of fun. They take care of us with positive attitudes with smiley face in entire trip. I definitely recommend Unique Path Trekking for any expedition in Himalaya ( we're looking forward to go with them in Annapurna expedition in near future ). I just returned from a wonderful hike to Everest base camp with helicopter return. I was traveling solo am so grateful to Manager Babu and guide Suresh for looking after me. It is a trip I will remember the rest of my life. We started with a half day tour of Kathmandu and then flew to lukla on the next day to begin the trek. All the arrangements were made ahead of time and the folks unique path team constantly got on the phone to make sure the logistics went smoothly. Suresh kept a moderate pace and a great sense of humor. We made good time throughout the hikes and always got to the lodges on time and in daylight with energy left for the next day. The weather also cooperated this March and we had beautiful sunny skies and gorgeous Mountain View’s throughout the trek. I really could not ask for anything more and would very much recommend unique path
