Our Airport Representative will drop you at the Kathmandu international airport for your final flight departure from Nepal.Gosaikunda Lake trek combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosainkund. Visit the beautiful Langtang National park and then trek to the end of the valley to view the wonderful mountain views. Following the Trisuli River north out of Kathmandu, the Gosaikunda lake trek travels through Trisuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village located at the very edge of the Langtang National Park. We then swing east into the Langtang valley, crossing the river several times as we travel up along a gorge-like, lower section of the valley. We pass through oak and rhododendron forests and even cross glacial moraine on our way to the Tamang village of Langtang.

A little further up the valley is Kyangin Gompa, where we stop overnight and sample the local yak cheese. We pass through Nubamatang, nestled in a hidden valley, on our way up to view the glaciers, which mark the gateway into Tibet. Backtracking, we travel through Syabru and Sing Gompa to a high plateau, where the sacred lake Gosainkund is located. Crossing the Llaurebena Pass (4610m), we continue south, leaving the Langtang region behind us as we travel through the Helambu valley to Gul Bhanjyang.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters). Hotel

Day 02 Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi (1462m/4795ft) (6:30 hours)

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi by bus via Trisuli Bazar and Dhunche( popular town). You will witness nice scenery of the White Mountains of Mt. Annapurna II, Manasalu, Ganesh Himal, and other minor peaks are visible from Kakani (along the route) and as well as green scenery of hillock, rivers, villages while driving to Syapru Besi. Syabru Besi is an attractive village with large stone houses.

Day 03 Syabru Bensi to Lama Hotel (2510m/8232ft)

From Syabru Besi we begin our trek by following the Langtang River, a river we will be following over the next few days, all the way to the head of the valley. After crossing the suspension bridge, the trails ascent ridge to Paira Lodge, and after Paira Lodge, the trails, gradually ascent until to New Bridge, and the trail climbs up to Rimche and after 40 minutes, we get then to Lama Hotel. On this day, you might feel the wilderness and might get the opportunity to see wild animals like monkeys, red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears, etc.

From Lama Hotel the trail gradually climbs up to Ghora Tabela through a forest of hemlock, oaks, maples, and rhododendron with spectacular, fleeting glimpses of Mt. Langtang Lirung (7,244m). Leaving Ghora Tabela, the path follows the delightful Langtang Khola, climbing steadily up to the spread-out Langtang village (3,500m). In the afternoon, we hike up to Kyanjin Ri and back to Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 05 Langtang village to Chorka ri Ri (5050m/ 16564ft) and back to Kyanjin Gompa

Get up early morning at 5:30 am. The trail climbs gradually to Sindum and to Yamphu (3640m). Crossing the Laja Khola then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung. After Kyanjin Gompa, climb to the top of Chorkari Ri (5050m). Enjoying spectacular panoramic mountain views of the whole Langtang Himalayas, including Langtang Lirung (7,244m), Langshisa Ri (6,810 m.), Gyanghempo (6,888 m.) Ganjala peak, Nayakang and more.

Besides, incredible mountain views, Langtang valley views with dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and Gyanghempo peak can be seen.

Day 06 Trek down from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2510m/8232ft).

Today we trek down from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel. Which is subsequently a very famous place in the Langtang region at an altitude of 2510m. From where you can get a majestic view of the surrounding. Similarly, we will be spending a night there and enjoying the delicious cuisine of the place.

From Lama Hotel the trail descends till Paira Lodge. Then the trail ascent through the forest after crossing the river, climbing to Syabru Village.

Passing Schools and gompas the trail ascent through the forest of hemlock and oak until trail Dursagang (2660m). Then the trail gradually ascent through forest Sing Gompa. Sing Gompa is popular for the Yak cheese factory and Buddhist monastery.

Day 09 Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4380m14366ft)

The trail climbs gradually up to Lauirbina Yak (3920m). From Lauirbina Yak, you can see panoramic mountain views of Nepal and the Tibet Himalayan range. Then continue the trek up to a small temple with a statue of Sakyamuni and further climbing you can see good views of Saraswati Kunda and Bhairav Kunda and reach Gosaikunda.

Day 10 Gosaikunda to Gopte (3440m/11283ft)

The trail leads to the northern side of Gosaikunda Lake and passing three more small lakes; you will reach Laurebina pass (4610m15120ft). The trail descends to Phedi (3740m). We continue trek to Ghopte with a following up and down the trail.

From Ghopte, the trail ascent from and again trail ascent to Tharepati. The trail descends through fir and rhododendron forest observing the beautiful mountain views of Mt. Dorje Lakpa range on its way to Khutumsang (2450m).

The trail descends to the delightful hill village of Gul Bhanjyang. And again trail ascent until Thodang Betini and we continue to trek down to Pati Bhanjyang (1860m) and exploring a Brahman and Chhetri village. Then the trail proceeds to Chisopani.

Day 13 Chisopani to Kathmandu via Sundari jal

The route goes forward through the forest of oak and rhododendron and brings you to Borlang Bhanjyang (2440m). After we trek down to Mulkharka (1800m) from where you can see the spectacular view of Kathmandu valley. Descending through the forest to Sundarijal. And we drive back to Kathmandu by car. A. Yes, we do provide roughly 65 liters one duffel bag, sleeping bag and down jacket to use for trekking without extra charge, if you do not have.

Q. Can I rent or buy gears in Kathmandu?

A. You can buy or rent trekking boots and rest of the gears, you need to need to buy.

Q. How much weight does porter carries?

A. We do provide one porter between 2 trekkers. One porter carries 25 to 30 kg respectively.

Q. How much weight does airplane allow to Lukla?

A. Twin Otter and Dornier planes are the primary mode of transport to and from the airstrip at Lukla. It allows 15kg per passenger, including had bag.

Q. Can I take some more gears for paying extra charge?

A. It is hard but some time, they do allow 2 to 3 kg with paying extra charge US$ 2 per kg

Q. When Should I pack my gears?

A. You will have pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu that night you pack trekking gears.

Q. What equipment should I carry at Daypack?

A. Most of our day packs have a capacity of roughly 20 to 24 liters. You need to carry only day use things like water bottle, light jackets, some extra shocks, sun hat, sunglasses, raincoat, light glove, scarf, toilet paper, and small towel, camera, some personal medical, Sunscreen, Passport, money, camera, trekking poles and some snacks. Rest of the gears will be carried by porter.

Q. Can I store suitcase and other unnecessary gears in hotel in Kathmandu or at your office?

A. Yes, you can store either at the hotel in Kathmandu or at our office without extra charge.

The perfect time to go for the Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is during the spring and autumn season. Similarly, the best time to visit Nepal  is during the summer season. The trip to Langtang Gosaikunda Trek starts with Kathmandu. Similarly, from Kathmandu, the trip moves forward with a drive from Pokhara to Syprubeshi and after reaching Syprubeshi the trip starts its first trekking journey towards Lama Hotel at an altitude of 2480m. Then from Lama Hotel, the trip continues towards Langtang village at an altitude of 3541m. After Langtang village, the trek continues towards Chorkari Ri(5050m) and back to Kyangjn Gompa. Then, trek down to the Lama hotel.

From Lama hotel to Thulo Syabru and from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa. Then, from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda. After, Cross over the Laurebina pass (4600 m.) descends to Ghopte (3420 m.). Likewise, after Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang(2540m). After, trek from Kutumsang to Chisopani. Lastly, Trek from Chisopani to SundariJal and drive by car to Kathmandu.

There is no special requirement required for the trek. However, having prior experience of trekking will be quite helpful.

Forgoing on the high-altitude trek in Nepal there is some age limit. You should be younger than 60 years. Similarly, you should be older than 16 years to do this trek.

The maximum altitude of the Langtang Gosaikunda is 5000 meters. As the trek goes high due to the drastic change of the landscape, it might be challenging to trek at a higher altitude. But worry not our guide will be there to support you in your every difficulty.

The Langtang Gosaikunda trek is mainly a Private vehicle & flight. However, many public vehicles also roll on the Nar Phu region which makes it easier for a lot of trekkers to travel to any destination. Unique Path is a great choice for anyone who wants to explore the Himalayas. My wife and I made several treks with Unique Path to Manaslu, Kangchenjunga, Tilicho Lake, and Mustang. It goes without saying, that the scenery in Nepal is stunning. Lots of opportunity to learn about the culture and religion and traditions of Nepal. The people we met along the way were engaging and wonderful. Unique Path's staff was fantastic throughout all the trips. They were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They arranged everything from transportation to accommodation to food. They also provided all the necessary equipment and guidance and handled all the permit applications. I highly recommend Unique Path trekking to anyone who loves adventure and nature. These were once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I will never forget. I am available as a reference. David

As with all treks, there will be unforeseen circumstances and you’re always beholden to nature. So you want a guide and an agency that is not only experienced enough but also sensitive and quick to changes on ground. I am very grateful for the deep experience that our guide, Dambar had. He made us feel safe and constantly had everything under control despite the weather and some early sickness some of us had. Coupled with his sharp wit and deep knowledge, this became such an enjoyable climb that was filled with priceless stories that I can’t wait to tell the kids about. The porters too were a lively bunch that ultimately became friends and we shared lots of fun moments on the mountain together. Babu ensured that our arrivals, arrangements and any administrative hassles were smooth and out of our minds so we could focus on the climb ahead. Thank you Unique Path trekking & expedition. We were very fortunate to have Unique Path Trekking for our EBC with 3 Himalaya passes expedition, we were so happy/satisfied with Unique Path trekking. Babu ( owner of Unique Path Trekking) is so kind, knowledgeable and mellow personality so does their staff ( all guides and porters ). We had great time during this expedition in terms of lodging/food. We had large group ( ~ 18 ppl ) and believe or not no one had any single complain of food. Their guides and porters are so knowledgeable, smart, humorous made our entire expedition lots of fun. They take care of us with positive attitudes with smiley face in entire trip. I definitely recommend Unique Path Trekking for any expedition in Himalaya ( we're looking forward to go with them in Annapurna expedition in near future ). I just returned from a wonderful hike to Everest base camp with helicopter return. I was traveling solo am so grateful to Manager Babu and guide Suresh for looking after me. It is a trip I will remember the rest of my life. We started with a half day tour of Kathmandu and then flew to lukla on the next day to begin the trek. All the arrangements were made ahead of time and the folks unique path team constantly got on the phone to make sure the logistics went smoothly. Suresh kept a moderate pace and a great sense of humor. We made good time throughout the hikes and always got to the lodges on time and in daylight with energy left for the next day. The weather also cooperated this March and we had beautiful sunny skies and gorgeous Mountain View’s throughout the trek. I really could not ask for anything more and would very much recommend unique path
