Unique Path has been great during one time in Nepal. They have been fantastic from booking efficiency through to arrival at Kathmandu airport. The trek was great and helps with leaving Nepal with our things. Raj was a great guide and added a personal touch to everything we saw and did. He always endowed. We were comfortable and happy and allowed us to change our plan schedule to fit in a bit more trekking. Hi Babu, My trek on the Annapurna circuit is one of the few trips I have done that did not seem ages ago by the time I landed back at Heathrow. The complete service provided by you tem while in Nepal was great. I had been concerned that I may feel isolated as single trekker, but just me and my guide/porter worked fantasticly. It was truly tailored to meet my needs. I attach a photo of the movie hose in Manang. Achnge from the photos of the fabulous scenery that most people probably send. Dear Babu, “Firstly I would like to apologise for the delay in writing this reference. Even before I booked, Babu helped me plan and book my Everest Base Camp Trek. Due to the inclement weather at Lukla airport, my original itenary had to change , then, due to an injury, my revised plans had to change once again. Babu was able to seamlessly arrange transfers to accommodate all of the changes, he was even able to change my international flight back from Kathmandu. When deciding a trek in Nepal it is important to choose a company that is based in Nepal; Babu Unique Path Trekking IS that company. My guide for the trek to Everest Base Camp was Shambu. He was a true gentleman, very knowledgable (as he also spent numerous years as a porter) and extremely passionate about the environment. Shambu was popular in all of the guest houses and, therefore, ensured that I had the best possible rooms available. If you have the opportunity I would definitely recommend Shambu as your guide. Hi Babu, From the moment we were met at the airport in Kathmandu, the experience we enjoyed with Unique Path was excellent. Our first meeting with Babu and our guide, Rupesh, answered all out questions and we were immediately confident about our choice of trekking company. Nothing that followed ever caused us to doubt that initial confidence – the sleeping bags and down jackets loaned to us were perfect, the transfers to the start of the trek were an enjoyable experience in their own right, and the accommodation and food included in the package was so much better than we had been used to while trekking in India. The trek itself was outstanding; our guide Rupesh was terrific from the outset, a mine of information and giving us complete confidence in the arrangements he was making on our behalf. Our porter Resham was amazing, carrying our huge bags with a smile on his face and consistently ensuring that our rooms had been arranged and our bags deposited there before we arrived at the tea houses. The two of them just made the trip so enjoyable for us. The trek itself went through a huge variation in countryside, from the beautiful lowland areas around Syange to the awesomely rugged mountains as we approached the Thorung La. Particularly delightful was the high level route from Pisang to Manang, with its amazing views of Annapurna ll. After the pass, Kagbeni was a fascinating medieval town, albeit with a branch of YacDonalds to show that it was at least aware of the 21st century. The hot springs of Tatopani were another unexpected bonus where we spent several hours in the hot water exchanging stories with other trekkers. The early morning views from Poon Hill were magnificent, particularly Dhaulagiri. And the last few days walk back down towards Pokhara, while different to anything that had gone before, gave us a wonderful finish to the trek. A lovely hotel in Pokhara and a fascinating bus ride back to Kathmandu were just the icing on the cake. Unique Path are a thoroughly professional operation. They tailored their standard trek to our requirements by building in additional days in both Pokhara and Kathmandu, and finally delivered us back to the airport to catch our plane to England. We shall certainly return next year for the Everest Base Camp Trek.

Dear Babu, Well, it has been a very good trip for me personally. I enjoyed the trek thoroughly and also appreciate very much the services provided by the two guides and the porters. Our guides, Mr. Jamkha and Rajan (not sure of the spelling) did their best to accommodate us and took good care of the group ensuring our safety and comfort. On top of that, we were allowed to choose our menu for every meal and that was a real treat for me! The meals were simple yet very appetising, perhaps something to do with the mountain air and our strenuous walk up and down the hills which increased our need for more sustenance! Overall, a very enjoyable and pleasant trip with interesting scenery and spectacular view of the high mountains and meeting with people trekking in from different parts of the world. Highly recommended and God willing, I would like to go for another trek hopefully more prepared and more fit.

They immediately accepted our question for an alternative route around Manaslu including a side – trip into Tsum Valley. Our expectation where completely satisfied and it became a unforgettable trek in a culture, religion Tibetan Buddhism and geogratic way. Hi Babu Our trek at the start of the season to EBC & Goyko Ri was one to remember. With other tour companies not confident, we were very impressed with Unique Path’s expertise, enabling us to be the first group of the new season to trek across the high pass to Goyko. We had an amazing trek with Suresh and Tilock. There are both great things to share and suggestions we have as too how it could have been better. We will certainly openly share both as well as a wonderful photo of all four of us at the top of the Laurabina Pass. It is the only photo with the four of us and I will attach it now in case we forget to on our longer reply with our thoughts. I will also attach one of Suresh and one of Tilak that I have on the trek. We also wish to acknowledge the great tragedy that has recently occurred on Everest. We are in strong support of less pressure and better conditions for the Nepalese people who take such great risks and face hardships on these expeditions. We are currently working through a Canadian expedition company that was involved with Everest expeditions this year to see what we can do to support the families of those who lost their lives and their livelihoods to the tragedy. It sometimes seem very unfair to us but we realize such expeditions have their risks. If you have any thoughts as to how we can make an effect or contribution to those left without a family member we would welcome that. As Suresh and Tilak may have mentioned we experienced a great deal of trouble at the end of our trek in accessing funds from the ATM’s in Patan. Hopefully we were able provide the tip we wished to leave with our travel companions in Canadian dollars that we still had with us. With the currency exchange we were not sure if we did them justice. Feedback on that is welcome as well. We will be in touch with well thought out feedback and suggestions on our experience. Also thank you for the warm down jacket and the warm sleeping bag. Hi Babu I am writing to say a big thank you to you and your staff so making our visit to Nepal so amazing! We did the Langtang Valley trek and loved every minute of it. Everything was so well organised – the airport pick up, accommodation, meals, day tour of Kathmandu, trip to Syabrubesi, the trek itself and all the way back to the airport. You are incredibly prompt with your email responses, which makes it very easy to book the details of the trip and the website offers lots of useful information. It has been a pleasure booking through your company and we in particular appreciated the free hire of the sleeping bags and walking poles. Our guide for Kathmandu (his name slips my memory, but I think it was a Buddhist name for protector?) was extremely knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions fluently. He was very patient and gave us the option of staying longer in each place. An act I will remember is at one of the sites, a man came up to him and asked him to ask us for money. He explained to the begging man that it is not what should be asked of tourists and instead gave him some money out of his own pocket. This exemplifies great customer service and tourist care (not just in the moment, but this act also goes a long way to set an example and ensure the enjoyment of future tourists). The tour plan was very appropriate for our time and ability. Shambhu Rai was our guide, and we were VERY impressed with him. He was so friendly and professional at all times. We really felt safe and comfortable throughout the trek and learnt a lot from him about cultural aspects of the villages we visited, the natural environment, history, and everything in between. We really feel enriched by the experience. His English was very good, and his knowledge and desire to share his knowledge with us was very exceptional. Being organised is a key requirement for any guide, and we couldn’t fault Shambhu in any way. Absolutely everything was very well attended too which made for a very smooth experience. He went out of his way on the final day of trekking to take us through Sherpagon (a place we expressed interest in earlier in the trek). He didn’t have to do this, and it would have been easier for him to just go down the way we came up but he suggested it as it would be more interesting for us. Staff that are willing to go above and beyond for their clients should definitely be recognised. Resham Simkhada was our porter, and again, we can only speak very highly of him. We are still trying to understand how people can carry so much weight and do so for such periods of time up and down hill (!!). And in Resham’s case, do it with a smile the whole way!! Although Resham is still practicing his English, he made an effort to help out where he could – preparing the apple each night and playing cards with us in the evenings. He worked hard the entire trip and again, there is absolutely nothing to fault him on. We will most certainly recommend your services to others and will get in touch for any future visits to beautiful Nepal. Thanks again

Hi Babu, My wife and I decided to do a 22 day trip from jiri to base camp and include the 3 passes. From 1st meeting Babu and our guide Shyam back in kathmandu they were totally professional and really nice. Throughout the whole trek Shyam answered all our questions and always made us feel at ease. Our porter Dorji was always good humoured and always willing to help. Couldn’t of asked for better people. We also really enjoyed their company. Babu, Just a short note to let you know how much we enjoyed our trek! Ross and Kumar were awesome! Ross is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I struggled some with the climbing and the elevation and he was extremely helpful and patient. He really helped me to slow my pace and I would often follow him up as he was very disciplined in keeping a slow pace…..something that I have difficulty with. Ross was very attentive to our wants and needs in the camps and made sure we got everything we needed. He was also very knowledgeable about the mountain peaks and local culture. If I could offer any advice/suggestion to Ross and Kumar it would be to continue to work on their English skills and diction. This will make them even more valuable and helpful to clients. We really appreciate the flexibility shown when we decided to cut the trek short and go back to Katmandu and then move the city tour up a day. Ross was so helpful in taking me to the Qatar airline office and getting our flights changed. I will highly recommend Unique Path Trekking and Ross/Kumar as guide/porter to my friends and family! Our guides were well versed in the local culture and made critical decisions in our favour according to the weather when it mattered and in the end we managed to achieve our goals – to reach Tilicho Lake, make it past Thorong La pass and arrive back home safely. Our third trek with unique path and this time off to the Everest region 2013-4. Trek 1 – the Annapurna circuit 2008. Trek 2 – Langtang Valley and Gosainkund Pass 2011. We arrived into Kathmandu 23 December as arranged excited about flying over to Lukla and hiking in the Everest region. We spent 24 December waiting for our flight to Lukla – delayed then cancelled. They rebooked us into the same lovely hotel for a second night. 25 December we tried again to fly to lukla. Unfortunately again delayed due to high wind, then finally cancelled. Do we try again tomorrow 26 dec?? Some Trekkers had been waiting for five days, do we?? Our guide Raj suggested it would be wise to do an alternative trek. So it was decided to do Poon Hill and ABC (Annapurna base camp). Flights to pokhara were also cancelled due to fog there. So, 6 hours later still Christmas Day we arrived by private car to Pokhara and spent the night in a hotel near the lake. On 26 December we set off for the 10 day circuit. Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!. Back to Pokhara and to the same charming garden hotel. The next day we flew back to Kathmandu, and back to our hotel where we spent the first two nights. Unique path re organized everything!! There was absolutely no stress or worries. Our set itinerary included only two nights hotel accommodation and return flights to Lukla, plus all the guest houses, guide, porter etc. We spent an extra three nights in hotels, had a private car, and managed to get one flight. Would you believe on our departure to Australia we were given a refund for the airfare that was cancelled. We did not expect this, as we received all the other extras. This shows that this company can be trusted. They are flexible, and they know how to treat their customers. This is a company that I can certainly recommend. We will be coming back for our fourth trip, because we still have the Everest region to explore!!

The trip we had in October 2013, was very well organised, with professional guide and efficient porter. The guide especially, Raaj, was very kind, polite, caring and mindful. He provided us with good advise looking after our safety all the time. We were happy with the quality of our accommodation and freshly cooked food (three times a day, including fresh fruit). Everything went according to the plan and that was really good. We felt safe all the time and enjoyed his company. But the reality of the beautiful track in Himalaya was absolutely stunning. Words are not enough to express the beauty of what we have seen. No camera or cam-cord is accurate enough to reproduce what can be seen with the naked eye. Namaste Babu, I have to start by apologizing for not contacting you sooner. This is Eric of Eric, Graham and John who trekked to Annapurna base camp with Raj, Raju and Preem between April 25th and May 4th. We had no idea when we started planning our trip about which company to use. Ten years ago we went with Samrat Travels and I contacted them again for this trip. They were much more expensive than Unique Path. Asking among friends who visit Nepal we were told that you get what you pay for by and large, so that did not take us any further forward. In the end it was more or less a shot in the dark, but you always replied promptly to emails and that made us think we would be alright. So the question is what do we think now, when we are safely back home and recovered from jet-lag and catching up with gardening and painting? We think that we happened upon a superb company! We doubt if there is anyone better in the whole of Nepal! So it is an enormous grateful thank you from all of us for making our trip so enjoyable. When you consider all the problems we were faced with it seems quite amazing that we did everything we set out to do. We were delayed almost three days at the beginning when the ash cloud prevented us from flying for two days and then late arrival in Delhi meant almost a day in the transit lounge. When we finally reached Kathmandu you changed the schedule without fuss and we reached Annapurna base camp on April 30th as originally planned. We had no idea that a general strike was planned for the beginning of May and confused messages began to reach us suggesting that tourists were not affected. We fully expected there to be a minibus to meet us at Nayapul on May 4th. It was a bit of a shock to find that we would have to walk back to Pokhara, but walk back we did and walked to the plane the next day. John suffered some strain in his leg and ended up limping in pain. Despite the strike we still managed the mountain flight on the 6th and our visit to Bhaktapur in the afternoon, wonderful! Thankfully our flight home went according to plan. I will be meeting friends in our local mountaineering club tonight (Thursday) for the first time since our return and I will, without the slightest hesitation, tell them that if they intend to trek in Nepal they should contact Unique Path for the best service. From our arrival at the airport where your sign was easy to spot we had clean new transport, careful drivers, nice accommodation at the Marshyangdi Hotel, careful planning to suit our wants, good service from our porters and our guide Raj and everything happened at the time given. Especially Ram as our guide was always highly professional and never tired of making this trip as perfect as he could. We learned a lot about the locations and you country. Ram has good English skills which made communication very easy. This was very important to us! Preem, our porter has a lovely nature and although he was doing a very hard job in carrying our heavy backpack, he always smiled and never complained. Dear Babu, I can truthfully say that I have had the best experience of my life with your tour company. We booked the EBC trek with a side trip to Island Peak and also the Chitwan Safari Park. When altitude sickness prevented us from trekking to Island Peak your company brought forward our trip to Chitwan and also advised us to visit Pokhara and organised everything in lieu of Island Peak. You took the worry away and replaced it with experienced and friendly staff who made our trip to your beautiful country one of our most memorable. We are coming back in the future. I would rate your company one of the best. Babu, these are our thoughts about our trip. The guide and porter were absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. The guide had so much knowledge and explained to us about the culture and history of Nepal as well as everything about the tour, from the animals and vegetation to the ways of the people and the sherpa life. Our accommodation was basic and the people who run the establishments were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, our favourite was Dahl baht and we now have that at home regularly. Our trip to Chitwan was again excellent. The tour on the elephant was really exciting and we spent a wonderful 3 days in the Safari Park. Seeing Rhino in their natural habitat was really wonderful and the photos we took were amazing. Once again the guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. You run an excellent trip to Chitwan. My personal highlight was bathing with the elephants and seeing the baby elephants. Our trip to Pokhara was a lovely finish to our trip, we rowed around the lake, went cycling, walking, sightseeing and of course a little bit of shopping. We would love to trek the Annapurna next time. Thanks to Unique Trekking we have taken home with us absolutely wonderful memories and photos and feel like we really know and understand the various cultures of the Nepalese people. We really enjoyed our trek from Lukla to Gokyo-ri, returning to Namche via Tengboche – brilliant views of Everest in many places. Jeevan our guide was excellent, I hope that he is still enjoying using my old mp3 player, as was Shambu the porter – always smiling, never once complaining, even though he was carrying two sets of luggage. We were met promptly on arrival at both Kathmandu and Lukla and supported until we returned back to Kathmandu airport for the flight home. Ram was very aware of all of us and our limitations and how we were doing…I do not think any of us were aware of the effects of the high altitude and how exhausting the hiking could be at those heights…..Ram was great…easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, very well organized, very much in control, and a very nice person to be around. Though I did not have any real problems, he was very sensitive to the health and well-being of everyone…and when there was a need he was there…..including finding horses for those in our group that were having problems getting down…. Myself and 3 other Irish friends completed the 11-day Everest Base Camp/Kala Pathar Trek. The trek was an absolutely fantastic experience that I will never forget. The trek was enjoyable at all times thanks to our expert guide Prem Khatri, to whom we are very grateful. Babu took us to meet our guide in Kathmandu the night before the trek and described what we should expect on the trek and advised us on what to bring. We felt very assured from the start. Our guide flew with us to Lukla, taking care of everything at the fairly chaotic airport, and took care of accommodation and food all throughout the trek. Prem was a great source of knowledge and information throughout the trek, having done it many times before. There was not a question he could not answer, and in his near-perfect English I might add. Prem had no problem understanding our various Irish accents (Donegal, Dublin, Meath and Carlow). He seemed to know practically every other guide and many of the locals along the trek, and had very useful contacts in the Airline that allowed us to fly back to Kathmandu a day ahead of schedule. We learned a lot about Nepali culture from our frequent and prolonged conversations, which added hugely to the whole experience. I would heartily recommend Unique Path Trekking when trekking in the Himalayas. Babu, with his experience and professionalism, was a great help in arranging our very successful and unforgettable trek to Everest Base Camp / Kalapathar.

We would like to Thank you Babu and the boys, for a most wonderful and exciting trek. We did the Annapurna circuit, which was a lot more difficult then we expected, but through them, we had a most enjoyable time. Babu, not only being very professional and informative, was very helpful, charming and witty. (We always groaned when he said that the next day we were going to experience a lot of Nepali flats, because we knew we were going to suffer). Not only was he a guide, but our friend, you could trust, and share a joke with. We were very impressed, when a few in our group could not go on and had to go back down, within a few minutes he had an alternative trek mapped out for them, by going back down and going back up on the other side, where we could meet them. So they could still enjoy their trek. And the boys, our porters, were absolutely wonderful. They smiled, shared jokes with us and were ever so helpful. We did the Dhawalagiri Circuit Trekking with Unique Path Trekking and words alone are not enough to express our admiration. As it is a full Camping trek in less touristic area, Dhawalagiri trek brought is in very varied natural regions, from rice field through forest into high mountain and glacier scenery. This is our first time in Nepal and Unique Path Trekking Agency did provide us an extraordinary trekking experience. They did provide us excellent mountain Guides with professional attitudes and strong mountain porters. We are very much impressed by the scenic mountains as well as the enthusiasm of the guide. The cook can do almost every style and it’s really tasty. We’re sure that we’ll come back to Nepal again to trek in the marvelous wild nature with them.

The trek with Unique Path was a lot more exciting than I had anticipated. First of all my trek to the Annapurna Circuit was cancelled. So I ended up doing a three day short trek and the Annapurna base camp. This turned to be a wonderful plan, and I enjoyed both treks very much. The trekking Guide and porters were extremely helpful and friendly. In less than 3 weeks of the time I spent in Nepal , I have seen and learned far more than I could imagined. This is a beautiful country with its magnificent mountains, its diverse culture and its most warm and gentle people. I have enjoyed my time here, and I will definitely come back for trekking again in Nepal. Unique Path has done an excellent job and I will not hesitate to recommend the Agency to all my families and friends. Thank you very much for giving me such a enriching travel experience.

Hello to anyone reading this journal! I have just returned from Annapurna Circuit and I have had a great trek with Unique Path and my guide Raju Gurung. Both Company and Raju Gurung were very professional. They also made me what I felt was a very fair price and I still feel this having returned and spoken to many others. I am an experienced trekker and mountain man but Iam pleased. I took a guide as this was good company and made whole journey hassle free. Daily hassle like organizing transport etc were nil. We stayed at good accommodation and ate well all the way. My guide Raju always checked my health and made sure my food and water prepared. I recommend the Annapurna region for the trek.

First we went to Chitwan National Park, It was a very impressive trip, real wild life, life in the jungle, good service, nice environment and amazing nature. We saw many wild animals. Then we went for second trip to Bardia was also very great, we even saw three wild Tigers in the forest. Then in the last we went to Ghorepani trekking near pokhara.
