Seti River Rafting offers the lightest rafting experience crosswise over forested terrains in the wonderful Annapurna of Nepal. A short multi-day rafting can be joined from two noteworthy urban areas Pokhara and Kathmandu. Seti River rafting is best experienced for those who want to witness the Nepalese landscapes as well as natural scenarios. Besides, one can explore the nearby village from the river, enjoy photography, bird watching, and have the chance to swim and relax on the sandy beach. Furthermore, covering the distance of 32 km ending at the confluence of the Trishuli and Seti River, it is one of the warmest rivers of Nepal.
Best Season for Seti River Rafting
In General, the best time for rafting in Seti river is usually from September to early December, and March to early June.
March to May
It is the summer season in Nepal with hot days. So, the water flows at a lower level which generally means the rapids are a grade lower than they are from September to November. However, due to the pre-monsoon storms and snowmelt, the level of rivers rose again in May.
June to August
June to August is a monsoon time in Nepal. During monsoon due to heavy rainfall, there is a high possibility of flood and landslides. Rains in the monsoon mean the rivers carry 10 times their low-water flows and can flood with 60 to 80 times the low-water levels which automatically makes rafting insanely difficult.
September to December
September to early December is one of the most popular times to raft or kayak, with warm, settled weather and exciting runs. However, during December the rivers become too cold to enjoy. You should have a wetsuit. Also, the days are shorter with the start of winter. Likewise, any water sports attempted at this time require a very experienced guide with intimate knowledge of the river and strong teams, as times of high flows are potentially the most dangerous times to be on a river.
