Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal. Our Airport representative will pick you up from the airport terminal and transfer you to the hotel of your choice. depending on your arrival time, you can stroll either around the city or even rest in the hotel. Then, at the hotel, your guide will give you a short briefing about the biking tour. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02 Preparation & Sightseeing in Kathmandu

After having a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, you will today explore the capital of Nepal.  Your sightseeing tour includes the UNESCO-listed heritage sites in Kathmandu. Start the sightseeing tour with Pashupatinath temple, devoted to Lord Shiva. Then, from Pashupatinath drive for a few minutes to Boudhanath, a 36m stupa highly influenced by Tibetan culture. From Boudhanath, drive to Swayambhunath, a 2500 years old temple with a unique feature of Buddha’s eyes and eyebrows painted on it.

Then, finally, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square which reflects ancient art and architecture, culture, and tradition. Similarly,  we will explore the Royal Palace, Hanuman Dhoka, and other several heritage sites inside Durbar Square. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03 Transfer from Kathmandu to BesiSahar

Today you will leave Kathmandu at around 8:00 am. While the riders get an early breakfast, the crew members will load the luggage and bikes onto the transfer vehicles for the coach transfer to BesiSahar. After a 6- hour drive, you will reach Besi Sahar by mid-afternoon. Then, you will have plenty of time to explore the town and stretch your legs on the trails up the mountains.

Day 04 Besi Sahar to Taal

After an early breakfast, you will leave Besi Sahar encountering lots of small stream crossings. After approximately 5km of fairly flat terrain, the trails ascend towards Taal. The total distance covered by the bike today will be around 30 km. Taal is situated on the banks of the Marshyangdi river. You can spend your evening exploring there.

Day 05 Taal to Chame

Today, the altitude rises by 1300m. After breakfast, leaving Taal,  the trail ascends a steep and rocky jeep track, passing through a spectacular waterfall and reaching Timing. The ride today will be a total of 36km, where the final 9km of riding offers a little respite from continuous climbing.  It reaches Chame, one of the Annapurna areas larger villages situated in a narrow valley. The problems of altitude sickness may arise from here as temperatures are considerably lower than at Besi Sahar.

Day 06 Chame to Manang

Ascend to Manang from Chame today. However, as you ascend in altitude, the riding distances may get shorter and yet challenging. The trail ascends through pine forests before following an open valley up towards Manang. The Riders could encounter lots of mud and even their first snow during this section depending upon the weather condition. You will encounter several beautiful villages along the way, get a chance to learn about their culture, tradition, and way of life along the way.

Day 07 Rest Day in Manang

Today you will be resting in Manang. Manang is a wonderful place for acclimatization. You will give your proper rest reaching a high altitude as well as have a rest day from riding. Man and has a lot to offer to tourists. There are plenty of interesting and scenic hikes you can do at Manang. Also, if you want to relax in cafes.and bakeries then managing has everything you want.

Day 08 Manang to Thorong Phedi

Day 8 may be a little easier for you as it will cover the shortest distance. However, that doesn’t mean that the journey will be easier. You will be covering 17km today at 4450m above sea level. Since altitude can be the biggest obstacle today, snow and extreme cold can be an issue as well. Nevertheless, the scenario is extremely breathtaking. The hour-long ride will be worth it once you reach the destination for the day.

Day 09 Thorong Phedi to Kagbeni via the Thorong La Pass

From Thorong Pedi, the bikers need to start early as high winds can pick up later on in the day on the top of the pass. The high winds make it challenging to ride so it is wise to avoid them. Starting early at 5 am in the dark, through snow and freezing temperatures you will reach the highest point of the trip, Thorong La, at 5416m. The journey takes about 3-6 hours according to your ride. Likewise, the descent will be clear of snow from the very top, from 5416m to 2700m in 20km leading you back to the warmth of Kagbeni; the gateway to Upper Mustang.

Day 10 Kagbeni to Tatopani

From Kagbeni we will go to Tatopani where we can enjoy the hot spring. Tatopani will be the day’s final destination. Starting early and riding 58km predominantly downhill takes riders back down to the sub-tropical heat and oxygen-rich air. However, the 1st 35 km is a gentle drop to the world’s deepest George, Kali Gandaki. Similarly, the last 23 km will be to the Tatopami through jaw-clattering, rough and rapid descent that will test both man and machine.

However, the tough journey will be worth it once we reach the hot spring in Tatopani. Therefore, the refreshing bath in Tatopani soaks away the aches and pains of 10 days on the trail.

Day 11 Tatopani to Beni & transfer to Pokhara

Today is the last ride of this trip where you will be riding from Tatopani to Beni and finally to tourism city Pokhara. The trail is relaxing down to the  end of the trails. The 1st 21km stops at Beni and then from there the riders will head to Pokhara via Maldhunga. After arriving in Pokhara, you can stroll around the lakeside and go for a refreshing dinner at night.

Day 12 Pokhara to Kathmandu

Early morning after breakfast, you can either fly or drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The drive will take you through the wonderful landscapes of Nepal however, the flight will be for about 25 minutes. If you choose to fly, you will have a lot of time to spend in Kathmandu. You can either go for some trinket shopping or explore some of the many temples and places of interest in the city. Later in the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at a typical thakali restaurant in Thamel. At night, you can either rest at a hotel or go for fun at tourist hub places.

I have used Unique Path three times and each time the team were all helpful, friendly and informative. Every aspect of our trip to Nepal was taken care of - Pick up at the airport to take us to our hotel. Next day the excitement of getting our trekking details and depending on the trip setting out with our guide and porter. My husband and I prefer to hike on our own, so we did no group options. Our itinerary was always followed exactly. When I go hiking in Nepal this company is my first point of contact. They are a great team and are totally recommended by me and my husband.

Unique Path is a great choice for anyone who wants to explore the Himalayas. My wife and I made several treks with Unique Path to Manaslu, Kangchenjunga, Tilicho Lake, and Mustang. It goes without saying, that the scenery in Nepal is stunning. Lots of opportunity to learn about the culture and religion and traditions of Nepal. The people we met along the way were engaging and wonderful. Unique Path's staff was fantastic throughout all the trips. They were very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They arranged everything from transportation to accommodation to food. They also provided all the necessary equipment and guidance and handled all the permit applications. I highly recommend Unique Path trekking to anyone who loves adventure and nature. These were once-in-a-lifetime experiences that I will never forget. I am available as a reference. David

As with all treks, there will be unforeseen circumstances and you’re always beholden to nature. So you want a guide and an agency that is not only experienced enough but also sensitive and quick to changes on ground. I am very grateful for the deep experience that our guide, Dambar had. He made us feel safe and constantly had everything under control despite the weather and some early sickness some of us had. Coupled with his sharp wit and deep knowledge, this became such an enjoyable climb that was filled with priceless stories that I can’t wait to tell the kids about. The porters too were a lively bunch that ultimately became friends and we shared lots of fun moments on the mountain together. Babu ensured that our arrivals, arrangements and any administrative hassles were smooth and out of our minds so we could focus on the climb ahead. Thank you Unique Path trekking & expedition. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a great time while knowing you’re in safe hands!

We were very fortunate to have Unique Path Trekking for our EBC with 3 Himalaya passes expedition, we were so happy/satisfied with Unique Path trekking. Babu ( owner of Unique Path Trekking) is so kind, knowledgeable and mellow personality so does their staff ( all guides and porters ). We had great time during this expedition in terms of lodging/food. We had large group ( ~ 18 ppl ) and believe or not no one had any single complain of food. Their guides and porters are so knowledgeable, smart, humorous made our entire expedition lots of fun. They take care of us with positive attitudes with smiley face in entire trip. I definitely recommend Unique Path Trekking for any expedition in Himalaya ( we're looking forward to go with them in Annapurna expedition in near future ). You will very glad/happy if you choose Unique Path and Trekking.

I just returned from a wonderful hike to Everest base camp with helicopter return. I was traveling solo am so grateful to Manager Babu and guide Suresh for looking after me. It is a trip I will remember the rest of my life. We started with a half day tour of Kathmandu and then flew to lukla on the next day to begin the trek. All the arrangements were made ahead of time and the folks unique path team constantly got on the phone to make sure the logistics went smoothly. Suresh kept a moderate pace and a great sense of humor. We made good time throughout the hikes and always got to the lodges on time and in daylight with energy left for the next day. The weather also cooperated this March and we had beautiful sunny skies and gorgeous Mountain View’s throughout the trek. I really could not ask for anything more and would very much recommend unique path
