Kailash Via Simikot Tour

This tour will offer the unique type of trekking experience which takes you to Tibet's mythical Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, via the hidden Humla valley in Nepal's western most Tibetan frontier. Starting from Simikot, we continuously travel overland west along the mighty Zangpo River and over high passes to reach Mt. Kailash. There we take some time to make the 'kora' (holy-circuit) trek of the mountain sharing the trail with other pilgrims that journey to Kailash in the summer months. This extraordinary journey definitely gives us deep knowledge about the rich culture of the locals, their unique traditional lifestyle, spiritual odyssey as well as unforgettable trekking experience.

Itinerary in Details

Days 01 : Flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and over night at Hotel Batika.

Days 02 : Morning flight Nepalgunj to Simikot and trek to Dharapuri, and tented camp.

Days 03 : Trek to Kermi, and tented camp.

Days 04 : Trek to Yalbang Gompa, and tented camp.

Days 05 : Trek to Tumkot, and tented camp.

Days 06 : Trek to Thado Dhunga, and tented camp.

Days 07: Trek over Nara La Pass (4450 meters.) and trek down to Hilsa (Nepal – Tibet border), and tented camp.

TIBET PORTAIN:

Days 08 : Half an hour trek to Sher, and drive to Manasarovar Lake, tented camp.

Days 09 : Rest day at Manasarovar Lake (visit Chiu Gompa in the morning).

Days 10 : Drive to Darchen, and tented camp. 3 days Mt. Kailash Circumambulation

Days 11 : Trek to Derapuk, and tented camp.

Days 12 : Trek over Dolma La pass (5600 meters.) and trek down to Zudulpuk, and camp.

Days 13 : Trek to Darchen.

Days 14 : Drive to Paryang, and tented camp.

Days 15 : Drive to Saga, and tented camp.

Days 16 : Drive to Lhatse, and O/N at Lhatse hotel.

Days 17 : Drive to Shigatse, and O/N at Shigatse hotel.

Days 18 : Drive to Gyantse, and O/N at Utse Hotel.

Days 19 : Drive to Lhasa, and O/N at Shambala hotel.

Days 20 - 21 : Lhasa Sightseeing tour.

Days 22 : Early morning transfer to Gongar airport for your flight to Kathmandu.
