Trip Overview Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna base camp trek is famous for trekkers. The principal peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himal, including Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna, Ganagapurna, Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchhare, are arranged almost precisely in a circle about 10 miles in diameter with a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center. From this glacier basin, known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola knifes its way south in a narrow gorge fully 12,000 ft. deep. Further south, the gorge opens up into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the Gurungs. The middle and upper portions of Modi Khola offer some of the best short trekking routes in Nepal, and the valley is located so that these treks can be easily combined with treks into the Kali Gandaki region to the west.
In spite of the great heights of the surrounding peaks and ice walls, the valley floor between 12,000 and 14,000 ft. can provide comfortable camping spots in good weather.
General Itinerary
Day 01 :Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1345meters). Hotel
There you will be met by our Airport Representative and
transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle. Overnight at hotel on BB plan.
Day 02 : City guided tour in Kathmandu. After breakfast, at 9 am sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath( famous Hindus temple in south Asia, Boudhanath( Biggest Buddhist stupa in the world) Patan city (16 century royal palace), Syambhunath( Buddhist hill top temple), Kathmandu City. Overnight at the hotel on BB plan.
Day 03 : Drive to Pokhara (910m/2986ft.) by tourist bus. Driving to 6 hours, O/N at Hotel FB plan
Day 04 : Drive to Naya Pul (New Bridge) for an hour and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495m/4905ft). Walking 3:30 hours,O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 05 : Tikhe Dhunga to Ghorepani (2850m/9350ft). Walking 5:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 06 : Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Tadapani (2520m/8268ft). Walking 6:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 07 : Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310m/7579ft). Walking 6 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 08 : Sinuwa to Deurali (3150m/10335ft). Walking 6 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 09 : Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4090m/13418ft). Walking 4:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 10 : Annapurna base camp to Dovan(2600m/8580 . Walking 5:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 11 : Dovan to Chhomrong (2310m/6994ft). Walking 5:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 12 : Chhomrong to Syauli(1040m/3150ft). Walking 6:30 hours, O/N at guest house, FB plan
Day 13 : Trek to Naya Pul; then drive to Pokhara and flight to Kathmandu. Walking 2 hours and drive for an hour and flight 25 minutes. O/N at Hotel at 3 stars
Day 14 : After breakfast, the trip ends, our Airport Representative will drop you to the Kathmandu international airport for your final flight departure from Nepal.
Above itinerary can be designed along your preferences. Please let us know whether you would like to make a shorter or longer. And if you would like to stay more than 14 days, you can do white water rafting, jungle safari Everest mountain flight etc. Please, let us know, we will follow accordingly.
Note of above Itinerary: O/N = Over Night, B & B = Bed & Breakfast, FB (Full Board) = Accommodation, Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Information about accommodation and food during your visit:
We do provide 3 stars hotel in Kathmandu on BB plan and tea house (mountain lodge) in trekking in AP plan (accommodation, breakfast, lunch and dinner). Tea Houses (mountain lodge) are more like hotels, with hot showers, western food, and private rooms (twin sharing). In this arrangement overnight halts with dinner and breakfast will be in Tea-houses (Lodges) and lunches in local restaurants en-route. Freshly cooked food is served at all times (western, continental and Nepalese, Chinese, Indian and Tibetan meals are available in all places). Furthermore as you will be staying in locally owned lodges you will be benefiting and interacting with the local community. It will give you a true feel for the Nepalese people and their lives. Instead of 3 stars, if you would like to upgrade your accommodation in Kathmandu for 4 stars or five stars, please, let us know, we will book accordingly.
