Fact
about Nepal |
|
Nepal is
one of the most beautiful dreamlands in Asia.
Impregnable and enchanting Snowy Himalayas including
the highest Mt. Everest (8848 M/ 29,028 ft), flat
lowlands, lush tropical jungles full of wildlife and
with varieties of flora and fauna, all lies within a
distance of 150 miles/240 kilometers of each other.
Nepal is a paradise for the tourists and a visitor’s
dream come true.
Kathmandu, the capital with its rich cultural
heritage, exquisite temples and Pagodas dedicated to
the Hindu Gods & Goddess, Buddhist Chaityas and old
palaces with carved windows and doors are a
sculptor’s dream and an architect’s delight. It is a
land of incredible contrasts. |
|
|
Its cultural landscape is every bit as diverse: a
dozen major ethnic groups, speaking as many as fifty
languages and dialects, coexist in this narrow,
jumbled buffer state, while two of the world's great
religions, Hinduism and Buddhism, overlap and mingle
with older tribal traditions - yet it's a testimony
to the Nepalis' tolerance and good humour that there
is no tradition of ethnic or religious strife.
Nepal is a nation of unaffected villages and
terraced hillsides - more than eighty percent of the
population lives off the land - and whether you're
trekking, biking or bouncing around in packed buses,
sampling this simple lifestyle is perhaps the
greatest pleasure of all.
Nepal is probably the most famous destination in the
world for a growing range of outdoor activities,
covered in a separate section of this guide.
Trekking from village to village through the hills
and up into high Himalayan valleys is an experience
not to be missed. The scenery varies from cultivated
terraces to lush rhododendron forests to
glacier-capped peaks.
Mother Nature has showered her infinite love and
gifts to this land and the visitors can witness
these while trekking in the mountains, rafting in
the thundering rivers and on elephant back safaris
in the jungles.
Unique Path trekking has prepared a set of
information and itineraries for our valued clients
who would like to enjoy the adventure of a lifetime
and after this is over they would definitely carry a
sweet memory of a lifetime back home. |
